Kayanza, February 23, 2026 – The Free Baptist Church of Burundi held an official recognition ceremony this Monday in honor of Mr. Joseph Ndayegamiye, Head of SILOE Health Center, for the years of service he has dedicated to the institution since February 11, 2020.
The ceremony, presided over by Bishop Emmanuel Nsanganiye, took place in the presence of the entire health center staff, in an atmosphere marked by gratitude and emotion.
In his address, Bishop Emmanuel Nsanganiye emphasized that Mr. Joseph Ndayegamiye leaves the SILOE Health Center “on a solid foundation and in an honorable position.”
“Joseph Ndayegamiye leaves his position having placed the institution in a good standing,” said Bishop Nsanganiye, adding that he will remain a true ambassador of SILOE Health Center beyond its walls.
“This certificate is worth more than money”
In his remarks, Mr. Joseph Ndayegamiye expressed his deep gratitude to the Church and the Center’s staff.
He thanked the leadership for the warm welcome he received upon his arrival, before his appointment as Head of the Center, as well as for the trust placed in him throughout his tenure.
“I thank the Church for the way you welcomed me from the very beginning and for the confidence you showed in entrusting me with the leadership of the Center.”

He also praised the exemplary collaboration of the staff:
“We worked in a spirit of unity and respect. I sincerely thank all colleagues for their commitment.”
Addressing the team, he encouraged them to maintain their momentum:
“The pace at which you are working is good. Do not slow it down. Keep moving forward.”
In a particularly emotional moment, he stated that the recognition he received outweighed any material reward:
“This certificate has more value than the money you could have given me.”

Members of the staff, in turn, expressed their gratitude for a leader who was attentive and approachable. They commended his availability, his willingness to listen to everyone, and the quality of collaboration that characterized his leadership.
Established in 2015, SILOE Health Center is an initiative of the Free Baptist Church of Burundi. Since its creation, it has actively contributed to improving the health conditions of the surrounding population of Kayanza Commune.
Through its services, particularly in maternal and child healthcare, the center has gradually established itself as an important actor in the social and community development of the region.
