The Free Baptist Church of Burundi Signs Evangelism Partnership with EE – Burundi

On March 28, 2026, Bishop Emmanuel Nsanganiye, leader of the Free Baptist Church in Burundi (EBLB), officially signed a partnership agreement with Evangelisation Explosive – Burundi (EE- Burundi), legally represented by Pastor Israel Ndikumana.

According to Diomède Hakizimana, Director of EE Burundi, this agreement marks a significant step forward in the organization’s mission to support churches in equipping their members with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to effectively share the Gospel of Christ.

“As it is said, two cannot walk together unless they agree. We realized that sitting together and clearly discussing our direction and the path to reach our goals is the best way to achieve greater impact than what we previously experienced in working with churches,” said Hakizimana.

He further explained that through this agreement, both parties commit to combining their efforts by sharing resources—including finances, skills, training, and tools—in all activities related to evangelism.

“These agreements will strengthen churches through knowledge, skills, and tools that empower children, youth, and adults to share the Gospel of Christ in their communities and workplaces. As a result, the Church will grow both spiritually and numerically, and the Kingdom of God will expand as evangelism becomes a daily lifestyle, wherever believers are,” he added.

Hakizimana emphasized that this new collaboration framework will help root evangelism deeply among children, youth, and adults alike, for the glory of Christ.

Pastor Anastase Hitimana, recently appointed to represent the EBLB in all activities related to this partnership with EE Burundi, expressed great enthusiasm and optimism regarding the expected outcomes of this collaboration.

“These are activities I have already been carrying out in collaboration with EE. This partnership strengthens and supports the teaching of how church members can share the Gospel from person to person, not leaving it to pastors alone,” he told The Baptist Chronicle.

He stressed that the goal is for every church member to be equipped to share the Gospel—whether with adults, youth, or children.

“As for those of us who have already been practicing this approach, we will continue with even greater commitment. For those who have not yet been trained, I will personally dedicate myself to teaching and equipping them so that they too can effectively share the Good News,” he added.

Pastor Hitimana also expressed his desire to organize training sessions with leaders of EBLB churches across Burundi, God willing, as part of this new chapter.

You will know that there are other churches that have already signed such agreements, such as the Free Methodist Church, the Anglican Church Diocese of Bujumbura, and the Union of Baptist Churches of Burundi.

The Director of EE Burundi concluded by inviting other churches seeking to strengthen their evangelism efforts to connect with EE Burundi and formalize similar partnerships.

About EE Burundi

Evangelism Explosion Burundi (EE Burundi) is a Christian ministry dedicated to equipping local churches to effectively share the Gospel and make disciples of Christ. Introduced in Burundi in 1992 and officially established in 2012, EE Burundi has trained pastors, church leaders, and believers across the country, providing practical evangelism tools accessible to people of all educational backgrounds.

The organization focuses on empowering all age groups—adults, youth, and children—through structured training programs such as Adult Evangelism Explosion (Flip Chart), EE for Youth (EE4G), and Hope for Kids. These programs are designed not only to teach individuals how to share their faith but also to multiply their impact by equipping them to train others within their churches and communities.

EE Burundi’s mission is to glorify God by equipping believers to grow both spiritually and numerically through evangelism and discipleship. Its vision is to see every local church actively engaged in equipping every member to witness for Christ in their daily lives.

Through its work, EE Burundi continues to expand evangelism efforts across the country, fostering a culture where sharing the Gospel becomes a natural and consistent lifestyle.
