The National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Ven. Ademola Daniel Arowolo, has challenged Christian youths across Nigeria to rise beyond fear, division, corruption, violence, tribalism, drug abuse and hopelessness, describing them as critical barriers to the nation’s progress.
Arowolo gave the charge while addressing participants at the 52nd Annual Session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference held at Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State.
The YOWICAN Chairman said the theme – BEYOND LIMITS was timely, urging young Christians not to allow their backgrounds, financial circumstances, age, tribe or present challenges to define their future.
According to him, Christian youths can overcome limitations by building genuine relationships with Jesus Christ, maintaining holiness and integrity, demonstrating diligence and excellence in service, standing for truth and promoting unity across denominational lines.
He emphasized that Nigeria needs a new generation of young people prepared to provide godly leadership and contribute positively to their communities.
“Our nation needs a generation that will rise beyond fear, beyond division, beyond corruption, beyond drug abuse, beyond violence, beyond tribalism, and beyond hopelessness,” Arowolo said.
He urged young people to dream big, pray fervently, work diligently, and trust God completely, stressing that challenges should not determine their future.

Arowolo further called on Christian youths to embrace their responsibility as agents of positive transformation, saying they are called to be ‘light in darkness’ and to influence society through godly leadership and service.
He reaffirmed YOWICAN’s commitment to promoting unity among Christian youths, peace, national development and the emergence of godly leaders capable of positively influencing Nigeria and other nations.
The YOWICAN chairman expressed hope that the convention would produce young men and women who would exceed limitations in academics, spirituality, professional pursuits, ministry and national leadership.
He also appreciated the National Baptist Youth Convention’s leadership for the invitation and commended his National Vice Chairman, Rev. Onajite, for his commitment to strengthening Christian youth unity across Nigeria.
He concluded with a call for participants to trust God for renewed strength and to rise above every limitation in their personal lives, communities and nation.
Arowolo was accompanied to the convention by Prince James Adeyeye, State Welfare Director; Segun Makinde, State CSN Bloc Head; Lady/Evang. Janet Omotoye, YOWICAN Coordinator, Iwo Local Government; Pastor Dare Omoboriowo, Prayer Coordinator, Iwo Local Government YOWICAN; and Senior Leader Wale Ajayi, Treasurer, Iwo Local Government YOWICAN.
